How a casing becomes a retread.
These are the stations in our plant at the same Robertville address, from the first check to the rimming station.
Check the casing
Each casing is looked over before any work starts.
Buff and skive
The worn tread is buffed off to shape at our buffing station, and damaged spots are skived out.
Repair and fill
Holes are repaired and skived areas filled at the filling station. Repairs are R150 per patch.
Build and envelope
The new tread is laid on and the tyre is sealed in an envelope, ready for curing.
Cure and rim
The tyre is cured in our chamber under heat and pressure, then rimmed and sent to dispatch.

Where do you retread?
In our own plant at Unit A2, Robertville Mini Factories, 255 Nadine Street, Robertville, Roodepoort. It is the same address where we fit tyres, so you drop off casings and collect retreads in one place.
How much does it cost to retread my own casing?
From R1,805.50 including VAT, depending on size and pattern. Repairs are extra at R150 per patch.
Which retread patterns do you have?
Our current list has M3, M38, M43, M68, M90, M100, M103 and MM84. Not every pattern comes in every size, so check the list above or ask us.
Do you check my casings first?
Yes. Each casing is looked over before any work starts.
Is there a warranty on retreads?
3 months warranty on retreads.
Is fitment free on retreads?
Buy the tyre or retread from us and we fit it free at our Roodepoort yard during business hours. Casings for retread can be dropped at the same yard.
